Sam Morgan Architect (SMA) is Architectural office in South Ajax, Ontario providing Innovative, Cost-effective and Versatile design solutions which are tailored to appropriate market and contextual conditions. The firm is well known in the construction field and has extensive experience in the Design and Construction of various building types and facilities.

Coptic Orthodox Church, Toronto, preliminary concept design to utilize the vacant space between the two existing buildings to accommodate the increasing number of the current church congregation and further enhance the whole site development.

Coptic Orthodox Church, Toronto, preliminary concept design to utilize the vacant space between the two existing buildings to accommodate the increasing number of the current church congregation and further enhance the whole site development.

SE View, The new church to be located at the centre point of the north south and east west axis and distribute the car parking spaces to serve the 3 buildings.
South View, 2.The new church building (Building C) oriented along the East west axis with 2 entrances, one from the west and the other from the south with covered pathway link to the existing church (Building A) and parallel to the 2 existing buildings and the south property line.
South View, 3.The New Pathway link (5 meter clear height and 6 meter width) allows 2 way driveway and fire truck to path through with designated pedestrian crossing.
NE View, 4.The new church layout is dynamic 45 degree walls to match existing and cast shades and add interest the the building facades, topped with 3 domes and 2 stairs’ towers to emphasis the Coptic orthodox church design features as well as arched windows grouped three in one.
NW View, four Exit stairs are provided
West View, 6.202 Car Parking Spaces provided including 6 Barrier-free (close to the entrances) and 2 Loading spaces are provided the the rear North side close to the Kitchen.
SW Overview, 7.The car parking spaces calculated based on 593 persons using the new church (593/4=149 cars), 15 cars for Daycare use in Building B and 38 Cars for existing church building (A) to serve 152 persons.
SE view, 10.The lower level of the church building will function as a.Gymnasium with changing rooms and washrooms to the west. b.8 Sunday Classrooms, and meeting/Games room with full-height sound insulated movable walls c.Banquet hall for 200 persons with commercial kitchen at the north west corner.

Interior Facing West, The church worship space is provided at the upper level designed to accommodate 444 persons, 18 deacons, priest(s) and 130 persons at the Mezzanine Balcony for total occupant load 593 persons.
